FAQ’s on Catering

  1. Are these prices per person? Yes.
  2. What is the difference between delivery and full service? Delivery is when we bring your food in disposable containers, and help you set it up in your home or office - then we leave. Full service includes uniformed servers who set up a fully decorated buffet area with wrought iron chafing dishes and rustic ranch décor. They serve the food and beverages to your guests (and other tasks if needed), and clean up afterwards.
  3. What is the price difference between delivery and full service? Delivery fee is 10% of your order, $25 minimum. Full service prices includes the cost of food, 18% gratuity (20% for grill-outs), 2 hours of serve time (1 server per 50 people), and $25 per additional hour, per server.
  4. Who do I call to place my order?  Call the Catering Department at 817-267-2789.
  5. What can expedite the order placing process? Order on-line at www.laharanch.com, click on catering, click on email catering agreement, click submit. We will confirm your order upon receipt.
  6. When do I need to confirm headcount? 3 business days prior to the event. For events of 75 people or more, a week is preferred.
  7. What is the minimum headcount? 10 for STANDARD SERVICE and 40 for FULL SERVICE.
  8. How do I choose the Steak temperature when grilling on site? We recommend Medium; it is a more universal temperature that is acceptable to most.
  9. How long does it take to set up? Typically for a delivery 15-20 minutes, and for full service 1-1.5 hours, for a Grill out 2-2.5 hours. There are many variables here.
  10. How should I count the children? Order the kids buffet with the exact headcount of children. When ordering regular buffets for them, if they are under 5, do not count them. For children 6-12, count every 2 children as 1 adult. Teenagers tend to eat adult portions and should be included in your final headcount as an adult.

    • i. Cover table with colorful tablecloth
    • ii. Gather 5 bowls (for the fajita fixin’s)
    • iii. Have a large basket for the chips
    • iv. Order our convenient Keeper chafers to keep your food warm all evening. ($12 each-rack, water pan, 2 sterno)
  • For outdoor events, ALWAYS have a plan in case it rains.
